why the Credit card surcharge?
Restaurants are always working on very tight profit margins and the average profit margin usually falls between 3 and 5 %. Rising costs are always affecting the profitability of running a restaurant and it's extremely difficult when inflation impacts all parts a business all at the same time. Costs in every aspect of our business have increased, from labor to materials and ingredients. It has created the perfect storm for any restaurant owner. More and more customers are using credit cards and the fees are becoming unsustainable.
We can often weather short-term cost spikes without making significant changes, but a 15+ month inflationary period creates a necessity for change as we can no longer absorb these additional expenses and fees. We want to continue to keep everyone happily employed and our business open.
Pricing Notice
If you use a credit card, we will charge an additional 2.69% to help offset processing costs. This amount is not more than what we pay in fees. We do not surcharge debit cards.
